Hate is not a family value…it’s a Democrat(ick) one

At least for some of the posters at DemocraticUnderground.com.

Breaking news today gives us the story that Chief Justice Roberts suffered a seizure.

Chief Justice Roberts Is Hospitalized After Seizure
New York Times

Chief justice tumbles after seizure

Chief Justice John Roberts Suffers a Seizure
WUSA9.com

Consider now these lovely thoughts from some of the folks at DU:  Chief Justice John Roberts has suffered a seizure

And let’s not overlook these kind sentiments…

And this…. is why Republicans win. We’re too nice.

“Oooh lets wish him well. Let’s hope for a speedy recovery.” BULL****.

I hope the guy has a serious illness that doesn’t kill him, but lays him just low enough to linger until we have a Democratic president take office in 09, THEN he can take his well-deserved dirt nap. These people are evil, corrupt, ruthless tools of corporate america and they will stop at nothing to grant their masters all manner of legal goodies via the Supreme Court at the expense of average working americans like me. I hope they get everything coming to them, and moreso.

You wanna win? You gotta be heartless and ruthless. Roberts is a joke as a supreme court justice, let alone chief justice. Frankly, I’d rather see that fat prick Scalia bite the big one, but we’re not that lucky. Hey, maybe a bunch of those self-important cretins will die prematurely when the Democratic president takes office in 09.

Just saying what everyone’s thinking, or SHOULD be thinking. Remember who the enemy is.

Source

Granted, not all of the posters there share the sentiment.

But enough do for me to simply say don’t ever again give me any crap about the Republicans being the party of hate.

Hate is bipartisan.

And the Democrat(ick)s have it in abundance.

No, Senator Edwards, we want you to keep talking

Please.  We couldn’t pay someone to make you look this silly.

Ben Smith has the scoop at The Politico:  Edwards: “They want to shut me up”

He [Edwards] warns, in the video segment posted by his campaign, that if we don’t beat back these unnamed oligarchs, “They’re going to control the media. They’re going to control what’s being said.”

Ben’s got the video.

Apparently the Senator thinks this whinage is an effective campaign message.  Keep talking Senator.

Please.

Jim Gilmore? Wrong man, any race

Bwana tell us why Jim Gilmore is the wrong man for the Republicans in 2008.

I don’t think Gilmore has the patience or temperment to be an effective Senator, no matter how much one might like him on the issues.

We agree.  And a little bit more.  We’d have trouble supporting him in any race.

But that’s just us.

I am not a doctor

But I occasionally play one on the Internet.

So, this morning around 4:00 a.m., I correctly self-diagnosed my problem.   A spider bite, likely a brown recluse.

3 1/2 hours in the ER, including the IV and the tetanus shot.

I’ll be fine.  But this is very not fun.

Sometimes I wonder

Why I’m doing this.   Maybe I just need a nap.

But I’m probably not going to post for a while. Maybe a few days.  Maybe longer.

David Limbaugh: Democrats Can’t Handle the Good News

Democrats Can’t Handle the Good News
David Limbaugh at TownHall

Very good news is coming out of Iraq. Not surprisingly, this hasnt caused a change of heart among the Democratic leadership. It hasnt even given them pause. One wonders if they are capable of hearing such news anymore.

Has any of this good news coming out of Iraq prompted Democrats to rethink their opposition to victory?

A brief survey of recent headlines reveals quite the opposite. Sunday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said he would press forward on legislation to pull U.S. troops out of Iraq, despite the Democrats failed efforts last week to pass such a bill. He also said Republicans who voted against withdrawal of our troops were engaged in partisan gamesmanship. If that isnt a textbook case of psychological projection, Ive never seen one.

Darn it, I got tagged.

Leslie caught me with this:  Since you asked.

Okay, 8 things about me:

  1. “Ward Smythe” is not my real name.
  2. I am a 17-year cancer survivor.
  3. I had three majors in college (not at the same time).  Given the chance, I’d change again.
  4. I wrote an online book about Event Planning (a former/future(?) career).  Sold about 100 copies before the publisher took the site down.
  5. I am not looking foward to turning 50 next year.
  6. My goal/dream is to own a house at the beach where I can write and paint at my leisure.
  7. I have performed at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts.
  8. I know what happens to Harry Potter.

And I must apologize to the lovely Leslie.  I’m not tagging an additional 8 people.

I know that’s the way the game is played.  But I had a hard time coming up with a list of 8 blogs I’d do this to.

“Harry Potter” star, Daniel Radcliffe.

UPDATE:  Make that 1989, not 1969 as a FRiend pointed out in the comment section.

Sheesh!  And to think I have an 18-year-old son of my own.

The (Virginia) race to spend more money

The (Virginia) race to spend more money
Paul Jacob via Townhall

There’s something wrong in Virginia, and it isn’t the citizens or the drivers. Even Virginians who don’t habitually over-speed see the out-of-whackness of the excessive fines.
